AML with > 50% of blasts from megakaryocytic lineage Epidemiology: - ~3-5% of AML cases - adults and children Pathology: - pleomorphic undifferentiated blasts; react with antiplatelet antibodies - myelofibrosis or increased bone marrow reticulin Genetics: - implicated genes: - GFI1B, CD41, CD61
