Alclometasone Topical (Aclovate, Acloson, Delonal)

Indications: - topical treatment of inflammatory dermatoses - seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, - allergies - psoriasis - cutaneous T-cell lymphoma - discoid lupus - granuloma annulare - lichen simplex chronicus - pruritus, including anal pruritus Dosage: - apply thin film to affected area BID-TID Cream: 0.05% (15 g, 45 g) Ointment: 0.05% (15 g, 45 g) Adverse effects: 1) not common (1-10%) - itching, erythema, dryness, papular rashes, burning, irritation 2) uncommon (< 1%) - hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, maceration of skin, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria Mechanism of action: - anti-inflammatory; topical glucocorticoid class 6
