phosphate nephropathy
Etiology:
1) excess phosphate (sodium biphosphate), especially bowel preparation
2) risk factors
a) elderly
b) renal disease
c) hypovolemia
d) pharmaceutical agents that affect renal perfusion or function
- diuretics, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, NSAIDs
Complications:
- acute renal failure
